Preparing for Your Session:
A little preparation can help you feel relaxed and ready. Here are a few simple suggestions to make the most of your portrait session.
Clothing:
Choose outfits that feel comfortable and reflect your personality. Solid colours photograph well, and layers add texture. A few accessories and matching shoes will help create the  rightmood. Bring a couple of options if you’re unsure, there is usually enough time to try out different looks.
Location:
If you’re drawn to natural light, open spaces, or urban textures, we can choose a location around Vancouver or the surrounding cities. If you are looking for a greener nature environment, there are so many parks around the Lower Mainland to choose from. Studio sessions offer a clean, controlled environment with a calm atmosphere and are also a great option if the weather isn't cooperating.
Timing:
Outdoor sessions work best in early morning or late afternoon when the light is soft. Evening shoots in the city can bring a unique mood to the images. Studio sessions can happen any time of day.
Mindset:
You don’t need to perform or pose perfectly. The best images come from small moments, natural expression, and a relaxed pace. I’ll guide you throughout the session.
