The result was a series of images that felt both cinematic and full of character.

In this urban session, Sujata stood out in her jeans outfit against the striking mural of an old station, blending modern style with a textured, historic backdrop. Her natural confidence and sassy energy came through effortlessly, giving each frame a bold and expressive character. This was a very creative collaboration - we worked together to shape poses and moods that highlighted her beauty while letting her personality shine. The result is a series that feels vibrant, stylish, and authentically her.

At this empty baseball field, Sadichya brought strength and elegance to every frame. Through dynamic poses on the benches and against the chain-link fence, we captured a powerful energy that blends cool confidence with natural beauty. The textures of the setting contrasted with her presence, highlighting her individuality while creating striking visuals that feel both raw and refined. This series celebrates her charisma and style in a bold outdoor environment.

Leanne, a science student, wanted her portraits to reflect both her academic path and her personality, so we captured a mix of professional headshots in her lab coat alongside more relaxed, casual images; together, these portraits highlight her dedication to science while also showing her approachable, down‑to‑earth side, creating a balanced story of her identity both in and beyond the lab.

This studio portrait session with Sunita was a great experience. She wanted professional portraits in formal attire, along with some shots in her chef’s uniform to reflect her passion and career. Since it was winter, we worked indoors, which gave us the chance to experiment with lighting and setups. The relaxed atmosphere and the fun we shared throughout the shoot sparked creativity and made the session truly enjoyable, resulting in portraits that capture both professionalism and personality.

This project was inspired by my love of classic film noir: The dramatic femme fatale, the brooding anti-heroes, and the striking black-and-white atmosphere that defined the genre. Working with Sujata as the model, we set out to re​​​​​​​create that cinematic mood within the intimate setting of a small studio. The session was full of creativity and experimentation, and the result captures both the timeless elegance of noir and the playful energy we shared during the shoot.

A special session with the four dedicated women leading the NCWSBC. We captured their dual spirit: elegant tradition in saree and confident professionalism in business attire. The portraits, both individual and group, highlight their commitment to volunteering and leadership, creating a versatile collection for future publicity and outreach.

This family session was a true joy to photograph. Spending time with Shachi, her husband and their wonderful adult children in the comfort of their home created such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The ease and laughter we shared made the experience very enjoyable, resulting in images that reflect their genuine connection and warmth.

This family photoshoot was a celebration of Kalasha, Vijay, and their daughter Kalista as they look forward to welcoming their second child. Kalasha chose a nearby park as the location, and together we explored different areas to capture a joyful, relaxed family mood.

Surrounded by vibrant fall colours, she brought her guitar to reflect her deep passion for music. The natural backdrop paired with her presence created images that feel both soulful and serene, highlighting the harmony between her artistry and the season’s beauty.

This photoshoot featured Puneet, a classical Kathak dancer, whose artistry blends tradition with elegance. We chose a beautiful park in Burnaby as the backdrop, using its natural scenery to highlight the grace and expressive power of his dance. The session was a creative exploration, capturing stylish portraits that reflect his skill, refined movements, and the emotion behind his performance.

In the dance studio of Spirit of Dance Academy, young dancers guided by Niki Patel brought vibrant energy to the shoot. Each performer struck a pose from their Bollywood and classical Indian choreography, creating a series of images that celebrate both tradition and enthusiasm, with the joy of movement shining through every frame.

This family photo session with Suzie, Sunil and Sigourney at their home was quick but full of energy. We ​​​​​​​improvised to capture a mix of stylish portraits and warm family moments. Everyone enjoyed the process, which made the photos feel natural and fun.

This celebration was a vibrant journey through culture and tradition. The wedding honored  Newar and Rai Buddhist customs, with ceremonies rich in meaning and history. Bright colors filled the space, from intricate decorations to the attire that reflected heritage and joy. At the heart of it all was the love between Soni and Utsav. Their happiness shone through every ritual and gathering, reminding us that beyond the traditions and artistry, this was the beginning of two lives shared together.

For our first shoot together, Sujata and I met in a quiet Burnaby urban park where rock walls, classical stairs, and green lanes created a striking stage for her bold red dress and confident, sassy presence. The mix of natural textures and architectural details gave every frame a sense of depth and elegance, while her energy brought the space to life. The combination of place, colour, and character pushed us creatively, and the portraits that came out of this first session remain some of our strongest work.

The recital unfolded in a series of expressive pieces that highlighted the academy’s range and creativity, building toward a spectacular finale with every dancer on stage. This collection brings together the full visual story of the event, from the quiet anticipation backstage to the energy and joy of the final bow.
