Movement and Form: Kuchipudi Portraits
The joy of creating art together sits at the heart of this series. Dance and photography meet in the same place: intention, structure, and the freedom to express something meaningful within clear boundaries. Working with Vaidehi in her Kuchipudi practice made that alignment feel effortless: each pose carrying rhythm, each frame holding its echo. These six portraits were made in my home studio against a simple black background, giving space for expression, gesture, and the quiet precision of classical dance. Vaidehi moved through a sequence of Kuchipudi poses, and together we shaped a visual conversation between movement and stillness.
